Description
Ruger 10/22 Carbine Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifle with Stainless Steel Barrel
The Ruger® 10/22® is one of the most popular, and widely used rimfire rifles in the US. And justifiably so—the 10/22 has had a solid reputation for reliability and accuracy for over 50 years, making it a favorite for target shooting, plinking, and small game hunting. This 10/22 Carbine features a rugged synthetic stock that is impervious to harsh weather, and a corrosion resistant stainless steel barrel that facilitates maintenance—attributes ideally suited for rugged outdoor use and survival situations. The 10/22 utilizes a blowback semi-auto action, and a 10-shot rotary magazine, both of which are legendary for reliability. The hammer-forged barrel locks into the receiver by a unique 2-screw, V-block system that provides unsurpassed accuracy for mass-produced rimfire rifles. The Carbine model comes with a fine, gold bead front sight and an adjustable, folding rear sight. The included scope base screws onto the drilled and tapped receiver, and is compatible with both Weaver®-style and 3/8" tip-off scope rings. An extended magazine release allows for rapid reloading. The short and light 10/22 Carbine handles incredibly well by adult and youth shooters alike. The popularity of the Ruger 10/22 has led to a myriad of after-market 10/22 accessories, making it one of the most customizable firearms ever made. The Ruger 10/22 Carbine with synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel is an indispensible, go-to firearm for any American serious about preparedness, self-defense, or hunting. Made in USA.

Poor Quality of StainlessI was very happy to acquire this gun last year on sale as I has always wanted a 10/22. I have had a Savage 64b stainless for a few many years and while I like the Savage it has a few feed and other quality issues.
I need to state that the reason that I buy the stainless version of any gun is strictly for the ability to handle wet conditions without special treatment. This has been the case with the Savage, I've used it in the rain many many times. A good statement for it would be that it's been "rode hard and put away wet"! Many times without any corrosion whatsoever.
My Gun room can at times be a little humid as well. I actively oil my steel guns and have a special safe with a dehumidifier in it. My stainless guns don't get that level of treatment.
When I checked on the ruger 10/22 yesterday I noticed some rust spots on the barrel! And that is just from the slight humidity in my gun room. I've not had this problem with my steel guns as long as I wipe them down with a clean oiled cloth a couple times a year. But I don't generally do this with my stainless guns and I shouldn't have to.
This ruger 10/22 stainless was 400 onsale, twice as much as the stainless Savages regular price. For this reason I no longer recommend the Ruger 10/22 stainless. The entire appeal of a stainless gun is for the stainless part! They cost more to buy so you're supposed to get more usability and versatility then a regular one.

Not accurate, don't buy it.This is the most inaccurate rifle I have ever had. 4 - 6" groups @ 50 yards. Tried federal, winchester, cci and remington ammos, and reinstalled the scope. It can Not shot smaller than 4" group at 50 yards. Asked 6 guys have the same gun, 5 had the same grouping result, other 1 can shot 2" at 50yards. Never buy ruger again. The picture shows 5 groups at 50 yards. shot looks like a shotgun.

DissapointedAfter reading previous reviews I was looking forward to my new Ruger stainless 10/22 online purchase. When I fired the rifle for the first time I got feed jams on every round. I am quite dissapointed with this purchase and expected better quality. Are these rifles not fire tested at the factory? QA’d? I cannot recommend this rifle as I expect a working product when I purchase new.

Great builder gunThe classic. Anyone looking for a .22 should definitely consider a 10/22. Purchased some aftermarket parts from Volquartsen that make this gun even better.

Perfect gunHave owned this for nearly 9 years now, easily fired 9000 rounds. Every time family is over this gun gets pulled out and gets out to use, takes care of small game easily. Don't remember having a single issue with this, fires all types of 22lr no problem. I painted my front bead Orange, as was a little difficult to aim for distant shots. Definitely can'ts go wrong with this rifle, Ruger 10/22 is simply perfect.

I Love This GunCan't go wrong with a good ol 10/22, awesome accuracy, nice, traditional and natural feel (I have the wood stock). This is my go to gun for small game hunting and with a 3-9x40 scope it's even better.
Thank you for choosing Bass Pro Shops. The newer models of this gun would use a 9/64 allen head wrench.

Can I purchase this rifle in TN with a FL DL?
We have dual residences one here in Collierville, TN and our primary residence in Cantonment, FL. We spend most of our time here at the TN address which we kept due to an aging parent that lives with us. We set this house up to be capable of taking care of our parents, my 89-yr old mom the only one left. We have our FL address as our primary just for personal business activities there as we are self-employee and run a services corporation for commercial nuclear power.
