Poor qualityBought two bags. Stored them side-by-side on garage shelf. Within a year, the fabric coating on one bag started to peel off in patches. Looks horrible. The other bag didn’t peel. Quality control?

Tough but fadedAftrr 1 year has some serious fading and looks like garbage. It does hold tackle well and is still tough but also holds water. After fishing i have to completed empty, wash out and dry before using again...really a pain. Never again!!

Make it Waterproof!!!The great advantage of this bag is no zippers, so no salt corrosion problem, YEA!! inshore and close to coast fishing can be very rough, plus rains are always an issue. SOOO, extend the cover to the sides to make it WATERPROOF please!!

Great Bag for the PriceGreat bag. I love that this thing has no zippers!! I do not understand the negative reviews - It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that this thing is not fully water proof. (It is glaringly obvious that it was not designed to be so, just take a look at the photos) It is a great bag for my boat and truck with plenty of storage in a durable package.

Aquarium of a bag.I bought this because I needed a waterproof bag when I fish as a co-angler. I like the size of the bag, the molded bottom is great, and I believe the fabric is water-resistant, if not water-proof. The problem is that the top flap and 1/3 inner flap actually funnels water into the main compartment. Never seen anything like it before. There had to be zero product testing because my bag had 2 inches of water in it just from taking spray during the boat ride. Only way to keep water out of it was to store it upside down on top of the seat while I fished. Guess I will keep using my old Plano bag that is 10+ years old, but at least it works.

Plano Z-Series bagI will return the bag, because my first attempt to give a honest review was rejected.
I liked the base of it, but the bag itself is not water resistant.

You can decide but make sure this is "it".I had to edit this review so no other companies / websites would be named. I will get to the meat and potatos of this product but first I assume if you are looking at this bag you want to make sure it is right for you. I selected "I would recommend this product to a friend" just because if you do not have the same expectations as me it might be an okay bag for you.
During the holidays I received a nice tackle bag that was over 150.00 but it included some gimmicky things like a light on the handle and also had metal zippers. I have owned other bags that were meant to take on water (Expensive Yellow Cube "bag" that might have been doubled as a soft side cooler). I also own some cheaper water proof bags that are white and blue with a fish logo on front of them, they have plastic zippers also which is great but I wanted something better so I researched and found this item.
Let's be honest, unless we have a boat with a fair amount of dry storage, get to drive our trucks on the beach like the OBX guys or enjoy having a tackle bag on our kayaks; We do not have many choices aside from the trusty 5gal bucket and water tight containers. You are probably looking at this bag because you also have had zippers fail or other parts on the bag that were metal which salt water destroyed over the course of a year.
So I looked up this bag and it seemed like a great idea. Yet upon getting the item thats when the joy stopped. The gusseted sides on the bag are not as large as those in the picture so what happens is this; You close your bag nice and tight and the side of the top actually become gutters for rain / salt spray. Draining directly into your bag. The only saving grace is the fact you can but bungie cords which hook to the bottom Utili-Tackle system so that you can cover the bag with any kind of water proof material. Not exactly "instant, no-hassle access to your gear" when its in a plastic garbage bag that has bungie cords braided over it.
The material is not "high-performance" . Its "close" to the same material as a bag that might hold a folding camping chair or a bbq grill. In fact my bbq grill and cover for my outdoor stainless cooler are thicker and more abrasion resistant.
I would be fine with putting the standard 19.99 - 29.99 pliers in the holder but if you are a big spender you can leave your 300+ dollar ones at home. There is no where to actually secure it and the only thing holding the pliers in is a small patch of velcro and a loop of their "High performance TPE coated fabric".
Pricing - you are getting trays that air out yet also can take in water. This wouldnt be an issue if the bag was resistant to medium downpours or SW spray. Make sure you know what the trays are also, they are not large enough to fit standard leader/FC spools.
Also the shoulder strap has 0 padding. This isnt an issue for me as I am just throwing it in the back of a buddies but but for someone that is walking 1/2 a mile down a beach loaded with weights you are not going to have a good time unless you put a towel under the strap.
This bag is not innovative either in anyway, it is very basic. Honestly they needed to either add a plastic zipper or even better since they wanted to avoid zippers, a little more material with a draw string cinch under the cover of the bag.
If you just want a bag that doesnt get soggy from rain but you are fine with it being damp or filled with 3" of water on the inside during a small rain storm then this bag is perfectly fine. A dry day at the beach, a boat that does not get wet or on a kayak on a calm day I say go for it; but if you need something to keep your gear dry look elsewhere. I am not looking for a water proof bag but I have many other bags that have a simple zipper (that fails) under its flap which keep things dry on the inside, compared to this item at least.
