Daiwa Tanacom Dendoh Deep Drop Rod
The Daiwa® Tanacom™ Dendoh Deep Drop Rod provides the strength needed for deep drop fishing with heavy lines and weights, and the raw power and backbone to lift and move strong fish. Daiwa uses Glatech® construction that sandwiches uni-directional fiberglass between 90º inner and outer layers of graphite, resulting in an incredibly resilient and strong blank. The Powerlift™X fore-grip enhances comfort and control; and, an Alps anodized aluminum curved butt-end allows you to apply maximum pressure. An Alps aluminum reel seat keeps large reels in place for the duration of the fight, and is impervious to saltwater corrosion. The Tanacom Dendoh Deep Drop Rod comes equipped with an Alps swivel tip top guide and Seaguide aluminum oxide ring guides that together yield longevity, with minimum resistance when paying out or retrieving line.

Daiwa Dendoh 5’6 HeavyPaired with Daiwa Tancom 1000 fits in the reel seat perfectly. The rod butt is a little to thick to use the clamps perfectly however they do tighten down. Not a big deal, I only put the rod on the reel when I arrive at the spot and tighten it down with out clamps haven’t had an issue. They sell smaller butts for the rod so if it is a must it’s a quick fix for the clamps. Swivel tip and guides look nice and the finish on the rod is good. Compared to other high end deep drop rods glad I went with this one price point and quality is there.

GreatI don't use it to deep drop. I use it with a 50 wide and troll. Great price for a bent butt. Caught lots of wahoo.

Diawa Tanacom Rod and Tanacom1000 reelI bought the Diawa Tanacom 1000 electric assist reel from Bass Pro. Bought the Diawa Tanacom Rod elsewhere but the 1000 fits the rod fine.

Electric reel fitOrdered this rod and daiwa tanacom 750 electric reel and reel does not fit on the reel seat, its too thick for the rod clamp to properly seat. Gonna have to return and try the reel on the saltiga dendoh style at another store

Thank you for your question. Per the manufacturer, the Daiwa Tanacom Dendoh Deep Drop Rod, model TNB66MHF-DD will work with the Tamacon 1000 electric reel.
