rubber tips failThe advantage of these poles is that they collapse to a size that easily fits into an airline- approved suitcase. However, after only two days of treking in Rocky Mtn NP, the tips of the rubber caps wore completely through. My son's brand of poles suffered no similar fault. Also, there were no package directions on use, including strap adjustment method

Works fine when properly assembledBought these to trek Mt. Katahdin in Maine. At first I didn't like them but after watching a video and fiddling with them, I was able to understand how to assemble them so they are solid and not flimsy. The #1 thing to know is the clamp near the top can be adjusted for tightness; otherwise they will collapse when used. Overall I'm happy with my experience.

Horrible walking stick!I have yet to get it to keep together, and I really needed it last week. Terrible product, DO NOT BUY! Ascend needs to fix them or refund my money.

Someone's idea of a joke? The worst product ever sold at Bass Pro. The internal cord is so weak and teh single locking lever also so weak that the pole begins to collapse at the first contact with the ground. The teh pole again becomes 3 pieces of loose spaghetti
Stay away from this until BP recalls all of them

I can’t get them to lock in place after sliding together. What am I missing? You would think the cable would pull it together but it doesn’t! Help!

Put right hand on pole so your pinky covers the word pull, put left hand on upper cork grip, now pull apart and a metal button will pop out that will keep the poke stiff and prevent it from collapsing.

I don’t know how to put the pole together and tighten them.

There's a button on the bottom of the section that has to snap into place - may have to pull it out farther : markings on the top section below measurements indicate where to pull after putting it together.
