Guatemala is considered "The Sailfishing Capital of the World". If you know of any other place that considers raising 10-15 sailfish an "average" day, please let us know! Reports of raising over 50 sails in a day here is not uncommon. This area also has good fishing for blue marlin, as well as dorado and tuna. All billfishing is catch and release, using exclusively circle hooks - another reason why the fishing remains so consistent. The Guatemalan seas are relatively calm, and a lot of times as flat as a lake, making for very comfortable fishing. Fly fishing and conventional gear are both available on the fleet of 35-40' sportfishing boats. Excellent accommodations, delicious meals, and ice cold beverages are all part of this package.
