Great Rod and Reel ComboFavorite rod I own. Also a great price for this setup. The reel is silky smooth and works great. Rod is great for crappie and bluegill.
This rod can handle a 2 to 6lb test on the 24inch rod and the longer rod29inch is a medium action rod for larger fish like walleyes and bigger that can handle any line from a 2 to 8lb line but keep in mind 8lb line that is cold is less sensitive than lighter line so little bites could easily be missed, and in crystal clear water under ice a 8lb line will be alot more visible that a 4lb. And 8lb line needs larger wight to get to the bottom fast. 4 to 6lb line on a good real with drag set right will catch almost any fish under the ice. (Steel leader for toothys is kept in mind.
