Description
Product Brand Logo
This circa 1988-92 stainless steel double action K-Frame revolver is a Smith & Wesson Model 66-3 chambered in .357 Magnum. It has a full length shrouded extractor rod, a red insert serrated ramp front sight, a micrometer click white outline square notch adjustable rear sight, diamond checkered wood S&W emblem stocks, and 10-groove fore strap and back strap. The stainless steel finish is in excellent condition, with no observable marks or scratches. The wood stocks are also in excellent condition, with no observable marks, scratches, chips or cracks; the checkering is crisp. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling intact. It comes with the original factory box, Owner's manual and other paperwork. Smith & Wesson introduced the first Model 66 in 1970. Labeled as the Combat Magnum, the revolver was chambered for the more potent .357 Magnum. Built on the company's K frame, the guns offered a balance of relatively light weight and good durability. The gun was very similar to the popular Model 19, though with a stainless steel frame instead of one made of carbon steel. While the Model 19 remained a hot ticket with shooters and police departments, the Model 66 gained its own following of enthusiasts and law enforcement agencies.
