This unique piece of Colt history is the Sporting Model 1902, which is very similar to the Military variant of the 1902. The main differences were the weight with the sporting being lighter in addition to the sporting having a more rounded grip frame and the lanyard loop not present on the sporting model. Chambered in the .38 smokeless rimless which later became the .38 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol). The finish of the handgun was originally blued, and as a 100+ year old firearm it still retains some finish. This firearm is a good find for any Colt collector. Serial dates to 1906.
