CONDITION: fine as refinished, bbl. sets retaining nearly all of their reblue over some light marks & dings. Bbl. set "2" has engraving considerably softened. Coin finish of action has been brightened, engraving remains good. Trigger guard has been reblued. Stocks w/ old oil refinish have some minor marks. Checkering does not appear to be recut. Bores are bright & shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. HOLLAND PATTERN SIDELOCK GAME GUN WITH TWO BBL. SETS. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 72414. Both chopperlump bbl. sets "1" 26" & "2" 28 3/8" fitted w/ matted game ribs are engraved "Victor Sarasqueta" "Eibar Espania" on tops. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ Spanish Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Bbl. sets are stamped "1" & "2" on lumps. Bbl. set "1" is dated 1941 while set "2" has date mark for 1945. S# matching action are on loops. Sling loops are screwed to bottom ribs. Coin finished sidelock action features automatic safety, hidden third fastener, bushed strikers, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators & dbl. triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved w/ near full coverage large shaded scroll within sm. scroll borders in H&H style. Maker's name is in H&H type device on each lockplate as well as on bottom of action. Straight grip buttstock of lightly fiddle figured European walnut measures 14 1/8" over "Holland" open sided pad. Stock features prewar type Sarasqueta drop points, well cut point pattern grip checkering & a sling loop on toeline. Matching splinter forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBL.
