Description
The STD-15 upper and lower receivers begin with 7075T6 aluminum forgings and are machined on the very best aerospace machinery in the business. The STD-15 barrels are deep hole drilled from barrel quality steel. The bolt carrier group is a true M16 style configuration. The M16 style carrier is machined from 8620 tool steel, the bolt is machined from 9130 tool steel, and the gas key is machined from 4140 steel. All of the bolt carrier group components are shot peened, heat treated, magnetic particle inspected, and QPI coated as specified by the US Military Standards.
