Designed specifically for duck and goose hunting, the Beretta® A400 Xtreme Plus Semi-Auto Shotgun in high-contrast Gore® Optifade® Concealment Waterfowl Marsh performs well in a wide range of wetland habitats. The A400 Xtreme Plus shoots 2.75", 3", and 3.5" shells interchangeably without having to adjust, making it an extremely versatile semi-automatic shotgun. To hold up to long days of pounding heavy waterfowl loads, the A400 Xtreme Plus features Kick-Off advanced recoil reduction systems and a Soft-Comb stock, which reduce felt recoil by as much as 70%. The barrel is made of Steelium Plus steel with an extended forcing cone for obtaining consistently tight and uniform shot patterns. The 7x7 stepped rib has a wider plane and an integral steel mid-bead and a fiber optic front bead. The charging handle and bolt release are oversized to facilitate operation with cold, gloved hands; and an expanded and beveled loading port reduces thumb bite, and also facilitates operation with gloved hands. The A400 action features a rotating bolt, and a self-cleaning piston to ensure the shotgun operates in all conditions and is low in maintenance. Under field conditions, the A400 easily disassembles with no tools in a matter of seconds. The cross-bolt safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard, where the hunter can find it instantaneously, and is reversible for right- and left-hand shooters.
