This is a Classic Pre-War J.P. Sauer & Sohn Mauser Model 98 Sporting rifle. It features a half round/half octagon barrel with a solid vent rib, marked on the left side .30 US 1906. It has two position express sights, double set triggers, and a quick open magazine floorplate. The bolt is unfortunately mismatched, and it is missing the butt plate.
