German Guild Gun ~ Drilling ~ 16 ga/16 ga/9.3x72R

This is a fascinating firearm; we've been unable to determine the actual manufacturer, and believe it to be a German Guild era drilling, likely constructed before World War II. This is a classic drilling; two 16 gauge shotgun barrels over a 9.3x72R rifle barrel. The firearm comes with a small retractable rear leaf sight, front patridge blade, and what appears to be a trigger guard constructed of buffalo horn. Please note that the trigger guard is cracked at the front screw. The wood is attractive, however, it has been refinished, with some form of glossy surfaced sealant, and appears to have been put on with a brush. The engraving is intricate and ornate. The barrels are 26 inches in length, giving the firearm a relatively quick, lively feel for a drilling. Detailed pictures are included, please feel free to call with any questions.
