Remington ~ M541 X Target ~ .22 LR

This U.S. marked right-handed bolt action rimfire rifle is a Remington Arms Company M541 X Target chambered in .22 LR. It has Williams target sights front and rear, a five round box magazine, adjustable sling loop on fore end and bottom sling loop on butt stock, original Remington black butt plate, and rear-of-receiver-mounted safety selector switch. The serial number is hand-etched on the bolt. Remington produced these fine bolt action target rifles for the U.S. military in very limited numbers. The stock is a smooth one-piece oiled wood with a flared pistol grip, beavertail forend, an inlaid accessory rail in the forend, and straight comb. A sling swivel is mounted in a quick detach base installed on the accessory rail. The LOP measures approximately 13¾" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The bluing is in overall excellent condition, with no observable loss, rust or freckling. The plain wood stock is likewise in excellent condition with no observable cracks, marks, scratches, nor handling wear. It comes with Owner's manual, and six front target inserts. No box or wrapper.
