Arisaka Type 38, chambered in 6.5 Jap. Features include: 6.5x50SR Arisaka cal., Mauser inspired bolt action, 31 in. barrel, 5 shot internal box mag., one-piece bolt construction, controlled feed Mauser style extractor, adj. rear peep style ladder sight, fixed shrouded front blade sight, full length wooden stock, short length upper handguard, bottom mounted sling swivels, metal buttplate, finger grooves on forearm, knurled knob style safety located on the rear of the bolt body, action operated sliding dust cover, lever-style bolt release with integral ejector, blued finish. Most of the bluing is present on the barrel and receiver except where the chrysanthemum has clearly been removed and the bolt. You can also see the serial number on the left side of the receiver and the arsenal mark indicates this rifle was made in the Mukden Factory in Manchuria. Stock is in decent shape except for some various scuff marks here and there.
