Marlin ~ 56 ~ .22 LR

This lever action rimfire rifle is a Marlin Firearms Co Model 56 chambered in .22 LR. It has a 24" barrel, a fixed serrated ramp brass bead front sight, adjustable v-notch rear sight, a semi-Monte Carlo hardwood pistol grip stock, and the original Marlin hard plastic butt plate. The bluing is generally very good, but it does show some loss at the muzzle, and at some of the sharp edges throughout. The hardwood stock is in generally very good condition, but there are several shallow handling marks throughout the stock. In addition to the Tasco 3-9X 40 scope, it also includes two magazines: 5-round and 10-round. The Marlin Model 56 was made between 1955 and 1964. There are no records to give a more exact date.
