TruGlo® Red-Dot Scope with Remington® 870 Mount 4 5 1 1
happy now the mount fit my 870 super mag like a glove, the dot is very clear, however I had to round off the mount with a grinder at the bottom by the trigger, It was squared off and was hurting my finger bad when firing, after rounding it is fine. March 26, 2011

A:
This particular design is a unified system, the mount is cast as the scope and can therefore never be separated and pared with any other system that is not a 'rem870' shotgun. Usually they are separable, but assuming the low cheek weld desired on shotguns, they dispensed with the 2 piece design and moved the scope down closer to the action.

A:
Absolutely, range is limited with turkey and deer when using shot, so magnification is not important, field of view is not restricted and drop is minimal so even though the dot is not a tight 'tactical' grade system it is still fine enough for a full choke spread of 00 buck.

A:
Yes, simply pattern your shotgun with the buck shot load at your chosen distance. Once you're happy with your pattern, align the red dot with the center of the pattern, Verify the red dot alignment with a few shots. Do the same with your turkey loads.
