The first braided tie-able leader on the market, TUF-Leader is engineered and designed specifically for "toothy" fish. TUF-Line TUF-Leader Braided Stainless Steel Bite Leader eliminates problems encountered with other steel leader materials. TUF-Leader's special construction permits the leader to be tied with standard knots instead of using traditional crimping techniques. Tie an Albright or Palomar knot and the knots cinch down cleanly, with little effort. Manufactured using a tri-component process, TUF-Leader uses T-304 extruded stainless steel around a Spectra fiber core for the strongest and most durable knots. In fact, a 16-carrier braid construction ensures the smallest possible diameter combined with a super smooth exterior.

When fly fishing for stripers always use 10 inches or so on my flies so when and you never know when those blues are around. Great product!

My experience with this product has been the exact opposite of the previous review: ties great uni-knots and surgeon's, and while it's not advertised as kink-free, my tests show it to be quite kink resistant. Maybe the fact that I got the 12 kg (26.5 pounds) line test (SL125MT) explains the difference with the other review? Tying a knot in higher line tests may be looking for problems; just try to tie a Palomar in #30 test mono and you might run into problems too.
As far as I'm concerned, it's goodbye sleeves, crimping pliers and iffy connections, hello Tufleader!

Just bought this...excited to support a Colorado company and get a great bite leader solution for pike fishing. One problem...IT DOESN'T WORK!
Tried tying a simple palomar to a swivel and there is physically no way to tighten the knot. Wet it, grabbed pliers, even used wd-40. the knot would not tighten.
Not worth a dime...good idea...but it doesn't work
