Great Product Easy to use when trailer is on the road. Easy to put in place and use. Holds motor with no movement. August 29, 2012
To pricey Great idea. Handles started to rust in one week. Rubber split on mounting cup August 20, 2012
lock & stow issue When I received my new lock n stow it had soft rubber bushings in the pockets that secure aginst the motor. They failed after a few hundred miles of towing. I thought about sending it back but instead took it to a machine shop and had hard nylon bushing made for it. Now it works like a champ. My issue is this. The pictures on all retail sites show hard nylon bushings in place so why are they still selling the ones with the soft rubber that will fail? Kinda not feelin warm and fuzzy about this purchase. PS: A family member did the machining of the bushings for me at no charge otherwise it would have cost about 40 bucks. August 15, 2012
Best Purchase Ever This product is well worth the money. I have shopped many similar products but nothing compared to its design for my Mercury outboard. June 4, 2012

We have been told that the company will send small dealers a quantity of replacement bushings/sleeves from time to time. I would contact the company directly.

Isn't the purpose of the transom saver to relieve the weight stress of the motor during travel off the transom?

A:
yes the transom saver is for that purpose but the switch mounted at the stern of the boat makes it easier to place the transom saver on the motor and trailor when you fish alone and have to load the boat alone
