This is the first flurocarbon line I've tried and I must say that so far I'm not impressed. It seems to be brittle to the point that it breaks when tying a palomar knot that is wetted before cinching. I've aways relied on Stren Mono and may go back to it exclusively. I wouldn't waste my money on the brand of flurocarbon again.

Do yourself a favor and tie this line to a hook and and pull the line with your fingers to show yourself how little you have to pull to break it. That is all I can say.

I purchased 200 yards of 17 pound test line, there are several bad reviews for this line but I used this as a leader mated with braid for largemouth bass. If not tied right the knots will slip. I looked up a few tips on what knots to tie on YouTube, there are several videos that explain also that will weaken the line and cause it to break prematurely as well. Several times I have snagged on submerged timber, did the fluorocarbon break? Nope! Bend the hook straight every time, cut hook off and tie a new hook. I replace the leader when it's down to about 3 1/2 feed long, but never had the stern fluorocarbon break once. So if you buy this or any other fluorocarbon line remember it's not mono, but it has it's advantages. Be amazed how many more strikes you get with any fluorocarbon.
