XPS® Softshell Systems Jackets for Men
Urban + Outdoors
An amazing coat. Looks good to wear in the city and for everyday and is very comfortable under a bagpack in the outdoors. it blocks the wind in like 90% and sealed to water quite nice as for a none gore-tex product.. I wonder if the XPS thing is somehow connected to XPS company which makes mats for buildings (insulations etc.) - buttom line - very nice product.. :)

This jacket is somewhat unique among soft shells. It is the only one I could find that has a removable liner and detachable hood. I'm 5'11, 175 lbs and the medium fits me well but is slightly baggy. Higher end soft shells are more form fitting, but this jacket still has room for another layer of insulation underneath it.
The water resistant finish is effective. I put the sleeve under the faucet and couldn't get it wet. That will wear over time, though.
The supplied fleece liner should be thicker. It works well enough in the jacket but will not provide much warmth if used on its own.
Overall its versatile and very good for the price. It doesn't have the cut and fit of more expensive jackets, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Great BUY in a multi-layer coat
I work as a USPS Rural Carrier, so I am out in the elements everyday. This coat is great as a non-GORTEX multi-layer coat. I use this on most days were the chances of rain are 50% and the high for the day is under 60 degrees. Keeps me very warm without the liner but on days where is does not reach 40, the liner is in and keeps me warm without putting on too many layers underneath. Hood is nice.

Great coat for Florida winters. Just got back from a late Nov trip to Northern NY. Coat was great with temps in low 20's, windy, snow showers. Would make a nice car coat for New England winters. Fleece liner too light to wear alone, but the shell could be. Cuffs a little narrow which makes it hard to get on over heavy sweater, etc. Can't beat it for $69.00.
