I have to start this by saying that you get what you pay for, and for the price you can't go wrong. I picked mine up in the BPS store locally but, the ones i bought were made of silicon and not foam but, the same style. There are made to stay on do to the design of the bend putting pressure on your ears. This helps reduce the sound, again for 6 dollars you can't go wrong. At the same time i found they might even put to much pressure on the inner part of the ear that will make you regret wearing these for long then 15-20min. at-a-time(I got a big head). The only problem for me is the pressure but, everything else is perfect.

This product is basic and simple. Although it doesn't do more than you might expect.. It does do what it is expected to do...and the price is right for that guy that keeps showing up at the range with NO EAR PROTECTION !!! If you shoot , Than you know "who" I'm talking about...

Rated 3 out of 5 by mccambjd OK sound reduction, not great for hunting
I purchased these to see how they worked while hunting. The band certainly keeps them in place, but it also conducts any vibration or sound from contact with clothing or nearby objects, which is quite distracting. If I was motionless, the noise reduction was decent. I was wearing my cold-weather gear, so the band rubbed against my hood or hat constantly. So, I switched to regular ear plugs.
