well worth the money I spent, Went together nice and easy, cut top of box and slide out upside down( hold doors and take off when you can(or they will fall off) 90% of the assembly is on bottom of smoker, get a good thermometer, a bigger water pan and line the wood chip pan w/ a thick tin foil. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR TOP OF LINE THEN SPEND MORE MONEY FOR 1) If your a backyarder like I am then this product is all you need.it has a few quirks but if you can get by them you'll be happy....

Had trouble deciding between electric and propane smoker. Am so glad i chose propane. It is awesome. Bought for my husband for fathers day. He loved it! He was so excited he put it together and used it the same day. Easy to use and clean.

Masterbuilt Two Door Smoker
This smoker is well built and works flawlessly. You will not have to worry about temperature drops in the smoker as you can recharge your water and chips without opening the main door. It is easy to assemble and very easy to use.

This smoker arrived with no exterior harm caused by shipping which was great. It was also very easy to assemble, with no issues following the provided manual and the all the screws are nicely labeled. Fired up the smoker and lit perfectly and runs very hot which is nice for short smokes. There is substantial smoke loss from the door. I will be going to home depot today get a door gasket. Secondly the the water pan evaporates rather quickly so I will be looking for a larger pan as well. Thirdly the chips simply burst into flames even after using tin foil so I will look for a cast iron pan for the placement of chunks rather than chips. The quality seems pretty good and I am very satisfied with the heat retention and regulation. I would not classify this smoker as a set it and forget it smoker as no smoker truly is. I own a Bradley as well and it is much much easier to smoke with but even that smoker requires "some" tending to. All in all this smoker seems pretty good for the price. I enjoyed the the dual door feature as it provides access to the only thing you should be opening the door for "water and wood"!

I've read that most smokers take 1.5-2 hours for pork and beef cuts. I've smoked 2 beef briskets and 10 pork shoulders and each take 3+ hours per pound.

Per the Owner’s Manual for Pork at 225°F (107°C) will take about 3+ hours in a preheated smoker. See Chart for Brisket 3-4 lbs 200°F takes about 3-4.5 hours cooking time. http://masterbuilt.com/pdf/manuals/... Thanks
The difference of liquid propane (LP) versus natural gas basically comes down to two things, the size of the jet orifice, and the pressure regulation. While I don’t know for sure, I doubt that the jet can be changed, and the regulator would probably not be correct either. Bottom line, can it be changed? Almost anything can if you are willing to spare the time, effort and cost. Is it worth it? Probably not, you can buy a 100 lb. LP cylinder that will last you lifetime.
