Largemouth Bass Mailbox
The Bass that's "Crappie"
Simply put. It peeled and fell apart in no time. Wonderful idea. I'm thinking a dead fish would last longer outside than this thing did. Zero durability. The finish pretty much washed right off after just one season. Even their zinc lag bolts rusted! This thing is one year old now. I posted a picture of it with this review.

Was considering ordering a new one with hope that they improved the finish. Apparently this is not the case. We have had ours 6 years and it has been nicknamed the "ghost fish" mail box. The paint was 50% gone by the 10th month. We considered using a marine poly like another customer mentioned they had. I think for the money it should already be done for me. Don't think I will waste my money again. It would be nice if someone would actually read these reviews and care enough to fix the problem. (I won't hold my breath).

Best Surprise Ever
My Son-in-law was driving through a town close to his home when he saw this mailbox in front of a house. He could not stop talking about it to my daughter. So after a little research, found it at Bass Pro, ordered it and hoped it would arrive before Christmas (which it did). He was so surprised when he opened it. He had my daughter take a picture on his cell of him holding it and sent it out to his friends. He loves it and had installed it shortly after Christmas.

Hey folks. Just read all the awful reviews. We got our mailbox for a gift in 1995 and my husband put it up the following spring of 1996, where it remained in all it's glory until some thief came along and ripped it right off our stand! You know the old saying "they don't make them like they use to" well from the sounds of your reviews that's the case with the mailbox. Ours looked great . Yes there was some fading but that's to be expected after 17 years being out in the elements 24/7, 365 days a year and we don't live in Florida. My husband wants a new one but I'm not sure now.
