The LEM® Products Vertical Stuffer comes with a stainless steel base and cylinder to resist corrosion. To make your game processing go smoothly, the unit clamps to a table or counter. Each stuffer includes 3 stuffing tubes; 1/2", 3/4" and 1". The plastic piston has an air relief valve to let air escape from the cylinder while cranking sausage into casings. Absolute Time Saver !
This is exactly what I was looking for! It used to take me and my wife just over 1 hour to stuff 5lbs of sausage using the attachment for our well known kitchen mixer.

I checked out the other reviews, the 2012 model has steel gears and works great, I can only think this is a better product than before, but also think some need to read the directions (add a little more water).The product cut my stuffing time to a third 15# model.

Great piece of equipment!
We have a commercial 1 hp grinder. What a pain it was to use the stuffer tube that came with it. This LEM 5# stuffer has cut our time down drastically! Only takes a minute or 2 to squeeze 5# of sausage through it. The only thing that takes a long time with this stuffer is threading the hog casing on the tube. We usually do 25# batches of sausage that used to take us a couple of hours to grind twice and stuff on the second grinding. Now we fly through it with ease. 2 hours to double grind and stuff 50#. Easy clean up. Hot soapy water and a scrubby sponge. Highly recommend this for your processing or as a gift. Also want to mention that the customer service at the Spanish Fort Bass Pro was great. My husband went in there to buy the 3# stuffer, but they were out. A customer service rep that was stocking shelves came over to help us and recommended the 5#. We're glad she did!

Easy to use
After trying to stuff sausages using my electric grinder with its accompanying stuffer tubes, I thought I was going to kill myself before I got done. It took FOREVER! To stuff 5 pounds of meat into snack stick casings, it took 2 hours. Never again. I bought the 5 pound LEM sausage stuffer and it was so much easier that I couldn’t believe it. I did another 5 pounds with it and the job took less than 30 minutes. I’m so glad I bought it. I had to make a small change though. The stuffing tubes that come with the LEM stuffer aren’t overly long so I purchased a longer piece of clear plastic tubing and slipped it over the existing tube and secured it with a hose clamp. This allowed me to slide on more casing and work longer without having to stop. Other than that, a great product!

It is made of stainless and the canister does NOT tip out during the stuffing process. if you want to remove the canister, simply unwind the plunger, unscrew the plunger head and slide the canister out. Takes less than one minute to remove the canister.
