this is one of the best swivel head football jigs to use. it is by far the only one that I will use. I have caught a lot of nice bass with this rig and not missed any fish after the hook set. fish stay on better due to the swinging hook design and the bait has much more action.

The extra action of the swinging hook on the Biffle Hardhead means more fish in the boat. I used it all last year on my soft plastics, especially the Biffle bug, and caught more fish as well as larger fish than with other presentations. My experience was that the heaviest weight was best unless you're fishing in under 5 feet of water, in which case I would use the next heaviest weight. I wound up not using the lighter weights at all. The plastics want to rise in the water column, so you need the heavier weights to keep them down.

Wish the Hook Sizes would Match the Bug
I'm a Smallmouth River Rat LOL ! So I Ordered The Smaller 3.5 New Biffle Bug Jr. The Smaller Size I feel would work Better in Rivers Here In the Ozarks.. Then the Flood Came In Late Summer of 2013 Lots of Flow and Need More Weight to Get the Bait Down to the Bottom. The 3/16 with 3/O Hook works with the New Size but when You have to go up to bigger 5/16 or More they Made the Hook 4/O and is Kinda big for the 3.5 Bug ..I Just wish Gene Larew Made a Larger Size weight with that 3/O Hook. Just a over Site On there Part ...
