Coghlan's Fire Starter
This thing is like the sun
I got this for myself in the event I needed to start a fire like I'm Bear Grills or something. I often find myself in the deepest recesses of civilization like the mall. My 8 year old loves it. It does what it says it will do. This fire starter is made of magnesium. Fair warning, should you happen to set it on fire, DON'T put water on it. It spits flames when you put water on it. Do not try to brush your teeth with this. Your teeth will be really white but the burns to your gums take weeks to heal. For some reason, when I stand next to the microwave with this in my pocket I feel a tingle in my foot and can suddenly do a roundhouse kick. I'm 74, and have one leg. This is amazing.

I use this product to start my camp fires out on the beach when I am camping out. This fire starter helps me get my fires started with the strong ocean breeze. I never go camping without one.

works as stated
I purchased 2 of these one for my wife's hunting back pack and one for my own. After they arrived her and I went out in the yard, which by the way had 12 inches of snow on it we scrapped a couple small areas with our boots took some dryer lint that we keep for this reason and used the fire starter as the directions said and within a matter of a few mins we each had a nice fire started. We will say that we think it will be a little tough on the knives but after all its an emergency item so we dont see that as really being a major problem....

Best starter ive found
The magnesium makes starting fires very easy. i usually shave off a pile about the size of a nickel and it is sufficient to start a fire with ease. It has lasted me for months. I have started dozens of fires with it and it is still going strong. sort of hard on a knife so id recommend using an older knife specifically for the use of fire making.
