I first used these muffs while sighting in my gun for this years hunting season. At first I was amazed at how well it magnifies the sounds I was making. It took some getting used to the fact that gunshots would be muted, but at the same time it was neat to hear the sound that the muffs allowed after a gun shot, it s very hard to explain. But at times just the noise of working the bolt would cut out the muffs. I had a radio playing quietly 15 feet away and I could hear it great after turning up the volume. It was breezy the day I went out and the noise of the wind was apparrent with these muffs on, but I quite enjoyed that for it would let me know when the wind really calmed down for me to take a shot. For what I payed and what I'm getting out of this product, I couldn't be happier.

Inexpensive Electronic Hearing Protection
Considering the cost, these do a pretty good job of minimizing the noise level from shooting. I'm sure there are better one's on the market, most of which have substantially higher prices.
This pair functions well. The On/Off knob needs to be adjusted to minimize wind noise when riding in a cart. There is a red light on the right side ear muff below the power control to let you know the unit is on. There is no automatic off feature, so the batteries will run down if left on inadvertently. Takes two (2) standard AAA's.

I purchased two pairs of these for use at the range. Sadly to say both are junk. One has a bad crackle. The other only works on one side. I think it goes back to "you get what you pay for." You would think one of the pair would have worked.

Enjoy using these at the range--nice to hold a conversation and not yell like a fool. Ear protection is solid. Only problem--have to adjust slightly for certain rifles so I can properly set the gun in my shoulder. No biggie.
