Caldwell E-MAX Hearing Protection Muffs
You get what you pay for
These muffs work OK, but I have had to fight with the battery door since they were new, ultimately breaking the latch. Always carry spare batteries if you want them to work electrically, and some tape in case you bust the door. Battery life is less than others I own--and, as mentioned, they are hard to get at. I'll be looking for muffs that shut off automatically after a period of time. If you leave these on, they will be dead the next time you go to use them.

Does the job OK, not great.
Does what it should.
Electronic Ear protection is a Must Have when range shhooting.
I like my Remington Brand Electronic Hearing Protection better, better amplification crisper shut-off. I bought these for me but I will set them in the Student Bin when I teach my firearms classes.
I require Electronic Hearing protection for all classes.

Typical Chinese Junk
I received these today just in time to head out to the range. Installed fresh batteries and with the volume control all the way up I could not hear the person standing beside me. There is very little, if any, amplification. I was skeptical of ordering these but took the chance and lost. I will be returning them tomorrow.

better than expected
these ear muffs work great. big improvement over my old non-electronic ear muffs. I should have gotten these a long time ago. easy to turn off and on, work just as they say they will and don't hear a shot, but can talk and hear every one near by, easy to communicate with others. Liked so well I bought a pair for my wife.
