  • Hand-tied fine living rubber
  • Weed guards
  • Double rattle
  • Light wire Mustad® hook

Fish thick mop with confidence! Buckeye Lures’ Mini Mop Jigs feature fine living rubber that’s hand-tied to accelerate the fall of the jig and give it a smaller profile for finicky bass or spotted and smallmouth bass. Mini Mop Jigs are also outfitted with weed guards, a double rattle, and a light wire Mustad hook for better penetration with lighter tackle. Made in USA.
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not bad Guy complaining about the hook bending...ITS A LIGHTWIRE HOOK!!! Its going to bend. Ive caught fish up to six pounds on these jigs but I am not using them around gnarly cover. I would say the cover I fish these around is 3/10 in terms of gnarlyness. Stuff like shade from docks and tree overhangs, rocky wing-dams, mostly isolated stuff that largemouth cannot bury themselves into effectively (no grass). Just like the original mop, great for hog hunting! Enough cannot be said about their hand tied skirt, it is unfortunate that rubberbands are still being used. January 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by WORST JIG I EVER USED This jig looked great on the shelf. First time using it, the hook bent on the first bass. I bent it back into place and it bent again on the next fish. I thought I had a bad jig, so i tied on a second one and same problem. I tried a third jig to confirm if it was an issue or not, and it was still the same problem of bent hook from a fish. All fish caught were 2 lbs or less, and I would hate to lose a bigger fish due to Buckeye's poor hook quality. I contacted Buckeye customer service about the issue and they dismissed my complaints. I have never had ANY of my Strike King jig hooks bend on me unless I intentionally bent it to free it from a snag. June 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEST JIG EVER!!!!!!!!! ***************Great jig for flipping and pitching! September 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Jig The Mini Mop-Jig is the best jig I have used in my life. The hand-tied skirt is extremely durable and the action is AMAZING! Heck, the whole jig is durable and worth every bit of the four dollars. I had an 18.5 lb tourney day using these alone. This jig is an outstanding product and I am never going back to other jigs. Keep it up Buckeye Lures! September 30, 2012

Big Bass Lure?

Details:
Trying to catch bigger bass this year, and even though this is a smaller profile lure, I was wondering if anybody caught trophy bass on this. It's either this or the regular sized mop jig.

Bassmasterkidd,

In terms of a jig this still would not be considered a smaller profile lure. The rubber strands Buckeys uses really flares out in the water making a large profile. The profile of the Original Mop Jig is like 4" round, most people I know who fish them trim the skirt by about an inch to decrease the proifle. The difference you should be considering is the cover you fish. Get the mini if you are fishing isolated cover, get the original if you are fishing heavy grass, reeds or brush.

I would not suggest the Buckeye Mop or Mini Mop Jig for big bass. I had problems with the hooks bending from 1-2 lb bass.
