Bobby Garland Baby Shad
Better than live bait
I first saw this bait when I went crappie fishing with a guide on Kentucky Lake. It was all he used, just switched colors to fit the conditions. We caught more fish than anyone on the lake. I've ordered a dozen colors and every time I go out the crappie kill them. I've had big bass on, and any pan fish that's big enough will swallow it. The key is finding the right color for that day. More durable and easier to carry than live bait!

this is a great bait. i use it around bridge pilings and weeds. catches lots of crappies and the occasional walleye and bass. works perfect with a 1/16 jig head. i would recommend a little super glue. it'll save you some time and bait and put extra fish in your boat. Just wish the head portion was a little harder like the mann's hardnose plastics. overall, i recommend this bait to all. i like the whites and shad sparkle colors.

Gotta tryem !
I've crappie fished for over 25 years and have recently been using the 2" baby shad by Bobby Garland and love them. They cast great and have super action without a bulky profile. If you turn them on their side when rigging, it will actually slow the fall rate down and give a wounded fish darting action. I've caught Walleye, white bass and even catfish with them and they last a long time.. Givem a try and hang on!

Awesome crappie bait
You look at these baits and you feel like they won't produce because they won't have any action. That was my initial impression by just looking at them. Boy was I wrong. Tie this onto an ultra-light rod with light line and just dangle it in the water in front of you. The tail quivers non-stop. The ice-shad color is lethal here in Va waters. I use these and the Berkley fish fry as my go-to crappie lures.
