Great on scoped slug gun! I put this stock and forend on a 40 year old scoped Mossberg 500 and turned it into sweet deer hunting gun. I added the Powerpak high cheek piece and it puts your eye right on the scope quickly and comfortably and the recoil reduction system is worth every penny, looks killer too!. Shot 25 rounds of slugs today, some 3" Lightfields, and shoulder doesn't feel like I shot a single round! Trimmed the forend with a Dremel tool to make a perfect fit, but still a very easy installation. Wish I had this on all my guns! April 26, 2014
I love my Knox stock Can't explain enough how incredible this stock is for the price I already convinced all my hunting and target shooting buddies to change over to the knoxx kit and highly recommend it to anyone of any skill level December 6, 2013
Review This is a great stock system. Can shoot any round all day long. I tried a cheaper tapco, though it looked similar was no comparison. February 17, 2013
Excellent This is my second BlackHawk Spec op shot gun stock for Mossberg 500s, I was convinced after a year using the first. Ease of installation, adjustable length of pull, quality, function, comfort, durability, weapon control during various protocols, with practice will even help decrease action cycle time. All in all an extremely good addition to all the Mossburg 500s out there especially when using 3" mag sabots off the bench. (GO FOR THE "FULL KIT, STOCK AND FOREARM" only the stock is offered by some suppliers, but at BASS PRO SHOPS THE WHOLE TAMALE!) January 27, 2013

A:
No, not a Flex. Original 590. Back end looks just like the 500 to me but the ad only mentioned the 500. That's why I asked.

I would call Remington first but I think the only way it would fit is if the gun is built on a 12 gauge frame.

I don't think so. I heard you can take the flex adapter off and it its like a regular 500.

It doesn’t work because of the male adapter that comes out of the receiver, it prevents our stock from installing fully.

A:
From the research I did before buying mine, the stock will fit the maverick but the forend won't, unless you buy a different slide tube. I don't believe the Maverick has a solid slide tube. The forend only works on the solid 7 5/8" slide tube. Easy to find and replace, just adds another $30-$40 to your upgrade. It fit my 40 year old 500 fine, just a little trimming with Dremel tool to make it fit perfect. Love mine.

If it stays there it most certainly will get in the way while shooting.

The red pin is used for installing the stock to the gun. Once it is installed properly the pin comes out. Be sure to keep it though in case you ever want to remove it in the future.

A:
Mine is the camo model and didn't have the red piece, so not sure what it is. What I can tell you is it's worth the money! Shot 25 slugs today, some were 3" Lightfields and my shoulder never felt one of them. Recoil doesn't bother me, but why beat your shoulder when you don't have to? Quality product
