Bass Pro Shops XPS 2L Hydration Pack - Burnt Orange
Great pack for day hikes!
I bought three of these hydration packs in assorted colors for my daughters ranging in ages from 9 to 12. While my youngest could have used a pack that was slightly more snug, it did fit comfortably.
The hydration pouch being 2L did not present any weight challenges for them, and it was definitely great to hear them praise the packs for all the conveniences it afforded them. Collecting rocks and other treasures is now much easier with the open mesh outer pockets.
It took a little getting used for my youngest to bite down on the mouth piece, while creating a seal strong enough to get her water from the tube, but practice paid off. So far, there have been no leaks from the pouch, but we also don't fill it past the lid.
For the price, you simply cannot beat this bag! High quality in every regard. We love it!

I've never used a hydration pack before this purchase. We hiked several times on vacation and I'll never hike without them again. The backpack containing the hydration pack is great, with lots of small pockets to carry everything else. There was even room to include a first aid kit. The only problem is that it is hard to seal the opening into the water bladder. The lid has to be screwed on exactly just right or it leaks. Each time we used the, we had to try putting the lids on 4 to 5 times before getting them where they wouldn't leak.

I received this pack as a Christmas gift last year. It worked great and wasn't too hot to use on our Caribbean cruise. I have also used this pack hiking throughout the summer and my only complaint would be that the 2L hydration pack leaks very easily and has a really long hose. It gets in the way. Leaks are prevented by carefully screwing the cap on and checking it out BEFORE you put it into your pack.

Good medium pack
This is a good medium hydration pack. It's not so small that you can't bring a few extras (like snacks, sunglasses, etc.), but it's not so big that it will weigh you down if you fill it up.
I bought this to use for hunting/fishing. I haven't been hunting with this yet, and I've only been fishing once with it. This is a good bag to carry minimal fishing gear like small lure boxes to fish from the bank. I used it at a local trout river, and it worked just fine. I carried two small lure boxes, filled up my hydration pack, and it worked out great.
I plan on getting either the black or blue pack to carry on road trips Take the hydration bladder out, and you have a small pack to pack a first aid kit, snacks, a couple books/magazines,a phone charger, etc. This would be a good travel bag on plane trips (without the hydration bladder, of course).
