b ecause of a significant physical limitationI must modify equipment to fish. I had been able to do this with the above mentioned reel but ,over time, the quality of the product has declined to the point where I am lucky to get five casts out of a new reel. This contributes to feelings
of frustration of frustration.

Perfect Fishing Reel
I use the Tiny Lite reel on my light action poles for exciting fishing. It has the problem free power I need for pulling in even the biggest fish. I bought 2 reels, one for my travel kit in my truck, and one for my light action pole at home. A nice reel that I would recommend for all fisherman!

I bought two of these reels for my Son to learn to cast on and I respooled with some different line, the reel can handle up to 8lb line however, it does cut down on the line capacity but the reel seams to constantly skip and it won't pick up line, nothing big but kind of frustrating.

Same as Shakespear Snyergy TI6
Identical to TI6, just branded with BassPro. About same price also.
Love it. All parts strong...EXCEPT the release button. It's plastic (all else metal) and has two pivot points that will break (OK, so I tend to jam it in my backpack). There is no way to replace since the cover does not come off.
I would still buy these again (just did). I use with a collapsible rod and cary on hikes or kayaking.
I like to fish with 4# line; it's more sporty than muscling with 8#.

NO, not really on this real. I have 6 of these and have used both 4 an 6lb line, i prefer 4. Look at your line pick-up HOUSING , If it is Chrome (old style) return/swap the reel. The line will cut into the chrome next to the line pick-up pin an cause problems. This true with ALL Shakespeare and pflueger spincast (close face) reels. The new tiny lite Gold or red combo has the new non-chrome (gray) pick-up housing. It solves all these line problems. Now this is 1 of the BEST reels i use and i use it every time i go out. I would also recommend for a larger reel the Shimano Spirex 2500 RG ! If you have never used the FIGHTING DRAG, u aint fished. Enjoy <')===<<
