Great Reel I bought this reel even though I only fish freshwater. It's the same size as the other Revos, but it's been beefed up a little to handle bigger fish, or getting bass out of cover. This reel casts like a dream and is an absolute joy to fish with. The extended handle and D2 gearing give this reel a lot of power and a strong drag. I would not hesitate to buy another. revo Love the reel I use for bass here in California casts so far smooth retrieve. I also use it for saltwater in Monterey bay for rockcod lingcod halibut and salmon and with the powerful drag I have confidence I can crank up almost anything. My buddy has one on a 7'6" inshore trigger rod he uses for calicos sandbass and yellowtail in southern California. In such a poor economy do yourself a favor get this reel u can use it in freshwater and saltwater u don't need two setups save your hard earned money makes sense dual applications April 12, 2013
Red Fish Dominator I got this reel as a Christmas gift from my adorable girlfriend just in time for an annual after Christmas trip to Grand Isle La. This reel is fantastic it cast with supreme accuracy and the drag is flawless. The Revo Inshore is engineered perfectly for catching Specs, Reds and Sheeps Head. I caught 3 to 7 pound Reds all day without a hitch out of a 12' kayak. The Revo Inshore is the best reel I own. thank you baby! January 12, 2014
Greg Matched this with a Med Hvy Veritos Abu Garcia 7ft rod.. Used it at Okechobee for a full weekend of casting. The drag system is awesome. Hauls the large bass to the boat with no problem... used it for casting and flipping with 80 lb braided line.. Reel worked flawlessly. Great choice if you can swallow the cost of purchase, not a low end reel But what I needed for Fresh and Salt water. June 18, 2013

The Revo Inshore would be a great option. However, both reels would work. You might want to go into a store to try them out before purchase. Thanks
