cant choose

Details:
cant choose between this or the new rick clunn reel at bps i love the look of that reel, went to bps and picked it up love the feel the smoothness...but im kinda tore between that reel and the tierra..i like the looks of the clunn reel waaaay better but im also looking into down the line dependability.any input from you folks??and i know the low end daiwa stuff blows bigtime the mid level stuff like the tierra not sure,i have the tierra in spinning that and the sol thats all i have from daiwa and theyre fine pieces of equipment, but ive never been to fond of the looks/styling of theyre casters.and i have a gut feeling the placement of the magforce knob on the daiwa is gonna peeve me off when palming the reel cause i know its gonna be clicking up n down when the reel is being palmed.so just wondering if any of you have expierence with both these reels or own them.thanks, and i also know bps is GREAT with warranty stuff or if there stuff ever breaks, ive heard some horror stories about daiwa and that there impossible to get in touch with let alone get a response back.

Listen, this is the only bass reel you need. I'm about to purchase my third one in two years, only because I'm afraid they might change to another model. I've even used from salt water to hauling in muskies. Don't waste your money on anything else. Good Luck

I've fished with a tierra for 4 years and never had the dial move on me once. I keep it all the way down and use my thumb for control anyway.

I actually had a friend who owned the low end daiwa reels and it's really bad ( i believe it was the magforce one with the twitching bar). it broke within two months. I own the Tierra and i think its a great reel. I've had it for a year now and it still feels new. If you started with the cheap stuff and moved on to the tierra you'll notice the change in quality. I havent tried the rick clunn reel so i can't say. But i've tried bass pro brands and i'm not too much of a fan. Sometimes i just think they're just marketing by putting another angler's name on the reel. Another reel to consider is the Shimano citica. It's pretty smooth too. But just buy what you got your heart set on cause i know basspro will let you refund within a certain time limit if you don't like it.

sounds like you answerd youre question already.I own one diawa product -tierre- and got it on the reel trade in at bps this spring (cheap). And youre right it fishes like a $120 reel, and fishes great.I use it on a bps 7'bps bionic. Not to bad mouth diawa, you get what you pay for,the best bang for youre buck in my opnion is shimano.High end or low, never had to wory about warrntys because i havent had to in 10 years of fishing.

good luck
