I don't think the vise can hold to large saltwater hooks. I reccomend getting another vise.

I'm not trying to be discouraging. But if you are going to be tying big flies, you are going to want to spend a few more dollars. Cheap vices like this one then to not have any where near the grip strength needed when you are trying to get things really tight. I've tied flies for a few years and love it. You're better off buying something that will keep you interested in the sport rather than something that will discourage you.1 of 1
