A:
The rod holders I purchased has the notch on the rod holder where it faces up and down the boat when you insert it into the holder. Therefore, it locks facing either way off the boat and works on either side of the boat.
Thanks.

Yes, depending upon if you want to drill direct holes or use "U" bolts (2 1/2" L X 2"W) as I did. There is a grove on the flat side to assist rail mounting use.

They use standard threads. 3/8 for the L'il ones and 1/2 for the Pro ones so if Scotty uses standard threads, yes.

They can be mounted to anything you are willing to put the screws in. Each holder has 4 screw points that the included screws go through to mount the holder. The mounting bracket is ½” thick at the screw spots and the screws are 1 ½” long.

Depending upon your rails. I put them on 1" aluminum pole rails and used (2 1/2" L X 2'W) "U" bolts. Flat rails can be SS screwed into, if possible, with the 4 SS screws provided. Improvise might be the word, since I don't know which rails your pontoon has.

They come with a mount for each. However, I doubt they will fit the rail on the boat as they require 4 screws and the mount is around 2" top to bottom.

No, just 4 SS screws included, but I used (2 1/2" L X 2" W) "U" bolts... and with the rounded groove on the bottom surface, it holds very securely vertically or horizontally.
