In muddy water you want a bait that'll stand out (brighter colors: white chartreuse, maybe firetiger) as opposed to something darker (bronze, pumpkin, etc). Try to at least find a color that resembles baitfish in your specific water source.
Hi guys, Yes - this bait suspends. It acts just like the x-rap minnow type lures except it is with a shorter shad type body. I love this bait because it is very versital. I can crank it like a typical crankbait or I can rip it fast and make it dart side to side. Just like you would fish a Zara Spook. It is a great compliment to any crank collection. Hope this helps.
It all depends on the conditions for example if the water is clear you would want to go with a more natural color if it was murky or darker, you might wanna try a bright yellow or anything that's not to natural looking. If its sunny you might also want to use something that will use the sun to your advantage like a silver or gold. Also the bait fish around that area you might want to present something that is close to whatever the species of bait fish that live in those waters.
It definitely depends on what you're fishing for, but I have had success using this bait as a jerk bait. I have caught many bass and walleye this way. It's great because it suspends in the water when jerking, so it's easy to keep at a certain depth.
17 and 66 I would use bright colors in clear water it is commonly known to do that and you are very lucky to have oppurtunity to fish in florida the two colors i saw i would use would be 17 and 66 they look good and should produce there
I would try number 01 and 68 on the BPS color chart. We've got a one lake in my area that's more clear than most of the others, and I notice the fish in that lake tend to be relatively darker, so the green olive (#68) color in the smaller size matches the forage pretty well.
