From my experience, this scale is accurate to the pound. You can tell a 5 pounder from a 6 pounder, but not much beyond that.A:

The scale is indeed accurate as I tested it by weighing my Olympic weight plates. However you will have to be content rounding off to the nearest pound as the markings are few and hard to read.A:

The scale looks like it is factory set and has no adjustment.

No there is no adjustment to tune the scale. I weighed packages of meat that had there weight on the label. The scale was roughly what the labels said. You can't really complain with a mechanical scale. Just purchase the digital one from Berkley it will cost more.1 of 1
