Which lenth?
What are you using them for?
If you are fishing in rivers or streams you need something with a stronger drag/bait running system like a Penn.Abu Garcias bait runner system never worked really well in the ohio river and its current isn't as extreme as other much larger rivers like the mississippi :)
If you are just making a pole to fish for channels and smaller fish from ponds and lakes an Abu Garcia 6000 is plenty of reel.Throw some 20 pound big game on it and with a proper drag setting you are set up to handle fish well over 40-50 pounds. The highest id go Abu Garcia wise is the 6500's.Any higher on such a smaller pole just isnt really needed but its up to you :)
