Don't know. I assume that Bass Pro would handle any problems that might arise. However, I don't see this product failing unless I drop it in a wood chipper.

It can be used for saltwater because it does not have a metal zippers.

I don't know if they have changed anything in the past year, but mine has hard plastic zippers.

No metal zippers or anything else metal. The zippers are super hard plastic as are the pull tabs. Its a great pack.

Yes, it would work well for saltwater if you don't want to carry your entire "tackle box". No it doesn't have any metal zippers.I have one and it has served me well,from trout fishing to stripers.
