A:
I have a pole just like this that one. I have gotten 10lb bass in on the pole. The pole is perfect for bass and bluegill. The tip of the pole bends alot. If you have a bluegill on it, it mades it look like a big bass. But the only problem is when you hook a 25lb carp with it like i did. It made my reel start clicking.

A:
Setting the hook. The pole flexes too much. When I started using it, one day I hooked 6 trout and lost four of them. It got MUCH better after I switched to braided line.
