what is not included

Details: 
I've never used or baught a downrigger. What else is needed to mount it and begin using it? Do i have to purchase a weight terminator kit? How durable are downriggers in general. Are wear out items replaceable?

A: 
The mounting base is very basic. If you need to mount it vertically or get creative you can buy additional pieces. Mine just mounted to the casting deck floor. It comes with a terminator and an adjustable line release. The rig itself just lowers an raises a ball. Not much wear and tear.
