A:
the behavior of fish dertermines the speed if the fish are being picky crank it slower and vice versa. the best places to throw the lure is definatly in shallow water. Works well over gravel or stone, grass, wood and everything else. The best times are spring beginning of summer and fall

Hi,

Seriously, you can crank it in any situation. Sunny, overcast, on rocks, over weed beds, fast or slow....it swims 1 feet under the surface. So, over weed beds this thing is amazing. The rattle is extremely loud. One things for sure, if cast this lure, hold on tight when you start retrieving.

I like to fish it fast like a spinnerbait. Over wood and around weeds. I caught a few bass last week (April 2) by reeling as fast as possible and making short pauses. Anytime there is no ice is a good time

A:
the answer is yes. It depends on conditions at the time. Windy conditions you can fish it fast and pause. The fish will tell you how the want it; sotry different speeds.
