Fuse installation

Details:
I bought this yesterday to use for pumping water in & out of my 20 gallon portable bait tank. I didn't realize until I got home that it requires a 2.5 amp fuse and clips for the bare wires. Where do I install the fuse. I'm not real mechanically inclined.

A:
This pump would not be a good choice in that application. This pump is through hull only. I recommend a bilge pump for a pontoon.

Portable?

Details:
I need a portble pump for rain water in a 17' boat. I had a fishing partner years ago that had something that looked like this. The wires had alligator clips and he just attached it to the trolling motor battery to "vacuum out" the water and bail the boat.

Can I use this one this way?
