Customer Reviews   Description   Outdoor Answers
The same quick and easy-to-use wind-on leaders but with fluorocarbons instead of monofilament. They still use the Spectra® Fiber Braid for making the loops. The great advantage of fluorocarbon over mono is the fluorocarbon is closer to water in its light-refracting properties, therefore less visible in the water. Fluorocarbon also sinks twice as fast as mono. Leaders are 25 feet long.

A:
The #1 rated line to leader connection for big game trolling (and if it works here it will work for anything else) is as follows: (1) double your main line using the 12 turn Bimini twist (applies for both mono and braid); (2) attach leader to doubled line using the "no-name" or Bristol knot; (3) if you are connecting mono of fluoro to a mono main line, then use five turns to form the no-name or Bristol; (4) if you are connecting fluoro or mono to a braid main line, then use 12 turns to form the no-name or Bristol knot.
