Details:
I'd like to know how this reel compares to the CDC for those that have both. I need a new reels and all others next to the Calais seem like a "downgrade"

A:
The Steez is lightweight, and all together beautiful reel. You can spend a day on the lake with it and it is effortless !! The Calais is a bit of a tank. There is no doubt it is intelligent and a well designed reel but interestingly enough I give this reel to all of my nonboater who are new to baitcasters. Stupid, I know, to put a $700 reel in the novice, but the ease of casting and intelligence keep backlashes low. On the other hand I would never let someone use my steez. Decide for your self but my recommendation is clearly the steez. Or better yet get them both !!
