does this mount on my drum

Details: 
not to sound dumb but do i mount this on bottom of say a 55gal drum and let feed gravity feed to bottom where the spreader takes over. putting funnel in bottom of barrel to direct feed to hole that i would cut in barrel. need to make a few feeders and looking best way for money if anyone has ideas.

u r right to mount the timer on the bottom of a 55 gal drum. u shouldnt use american hunter timers they are junk

Yes, you are on target. They can be mounted on the bottom of any hopper size from a five gallon bucket to a 55 gallon drum. Your mounting intentions are perfect.
