It comes with a pull back trigger. You may reverse it. Works in one direction only.

It can work either way, depending upon how you set it up. The top trigger will be pulled while the middle trigger will be pushed - personnally I use the top trigger because I believe it is safer to use (no dry fire when practicing or misfire due to unintentional pressure).

There is an adjustment but I could not feel the difference, Put some light oil on the moving parts and keep on playing with it for a while and see if that smooths it out for you. If you go hunting, it would be a good idea to get a wrist strap, drill a hole on the handle and attached this to the wrist strap. It is cheaper to buy a wrist strap than to replace this release.

A:
This is a thumb release, your fingers are used to hold and pull on the the handle. Actually you can pull better with this release than the trigger type releases that I have triedl. The drum attachment also has an adjustable position, or if you prefer take the drum off.

A:
No. The release is held closed all the time, only when you wish to shoot or clip to your string can you manually open it with the thumb trigger, let off on the trigger and the teeth close again. In my opinion, the placement of the thumb trigger is very comfortable and much more "user friendly" then the finger models.
